Insects produced large populations and the greenhouse that was Vietnam supported endless varieties. Mosquitos in large swarms ruled the insect roost during the wet season but the dry season let loose a wider variety of pests. An insect the size of a large grasshopper with the look of a cockroach blasted us for three days. It took a firm tug to pull them from bare skin. They were everywhere and many; after the third day they were gone and we never saw them again.
