We had many dogs during my tour as they provided love and entertainment. Life is difficult for a dog in a war zone as their natural reactions get them killed by explosions. Running away resulted in them being a meal. Vietnamese and other Asians eat dog, so running free outside the FSB they did not last long.

I tasted dog while there and it did not taste like chicken, but it was good.
