Guess who had the right of way? I am ashamed to admit that some men (me included) purchased powerful home made slingshots from kids and used them to shoot Good and Plenty candy at the bovines traveling the road. Good and Plenty is a licorice center with a candy coating that is almost rock hard. The animals seldom flinched but we were not helping win hearts and minds, and winning hearts and minds was one announced measure of American success. I am not proud of myself for this display of disrespect.
