Our supply sergeant, Richard Waddell, won a supply lottery and for the first and only time we had saw mill lumber for “extras”. This bunker has premium walls, shelves, a desk and wood floors; but it is still a hole in the ground. No future FDC bunker came near having the “good stuff” or the “good life” this one had.
