Propaganda leaflets (lower left) featuring captured Americans were left along with the signs. The English was not the grammar or words an American would use but they were appeals to stop fighting and surrender. The leaflets had a picture and service number from each American and the POWs told of the great treatment they were getting and that we could expect the same. Everyone took a pass on that!
