Bob Kelly and me with a very large pile of loose dirt that needs sandbagging. This sandy pile was a blessing compared to the red laterite soil we had to dig at other locations. Once wet and dried, laterite made a fine brick that did not fill a bag in any useful way. When we took apart a fire base, we had to cut the bags off the bricks.
