Filling Sandbags

Glaring white skin gives away his recent arrival in Vietnam. The darker skin is partly sun tan and partly inbeded dirt. Mine did not wash off until I soaked in hot water daily for a week or more.

Filling sandbags in a large group was better than working in a small one. Laughing and jokeing took our minds off the miserable work and conditions. Roger Scratton is next to Randy, the only man holding on to his stateside blubber.
