Huey’s had no doors so riding in one was an open-air experience with a great view. Passengers were not seat-belted and some infantrymen rode with their feet on the landing skids, sitting on the slick metal floor. Scared the hell out of me when one banked in a turn. ‘Slick’ was a common name for this helicopter.
