Black Virgin

This mountain was a place of danger and beauty in 1969. It was a barrier between rice farming country and very wild jungle to the north and west . The Vietnamese enemy created tunnel complexes throughout, and housed medical care and supply units. They also connected to major enemy bases in Cambodia that accepted men and supplies moving south on the Ho Chi Minh Trail.
