This CH-47 Chinook helicopter is loaded with Red Cross nurses (called Doughnut Dollies) and other rear area people here to sing Christmas songs. What a treat! They sang as a group and then led everyone on a trip through the holiday songbook. Thank each of you for improving my outlook on life.

This double rotor sucker could imbed sand and dirt in the skin of people near it at lift-off or landing. The dust created by it hung in the air for hours and dusted everything in the fire base. Slinging a suspended load under the Chinook exposed a person to the full fury of wind created at maximum lift.
