American Aid

From a helicopter the most visible American aid were tin roofs; they covered a large percentage of buildings in rural villages in Tay Ninh province. The rural people I saw were poor beyond anything I had imagined in my Russell, Kansas youth. I hope this tin still keeps homes dry. It must have made the homes hot as hell and more heat they did not need.
