Base Camp Housing

I arrived at Cu Chi, the 25th Division’s main base camp, around August 15 1968 we received 3 or 4 days of training and were assigned to sleep in a building like this. The camp was mortared and rocketed all 4 nights I was there so several of us slept in an adjacent bunker. It was half-filled with water. I was really scared about my future days in Vietnam! 376 to survive and I was not even in the field yet.
